Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) The human-animal bond is a powerful transformative tool! TRAK offers ground-based Equine Assisted Learning sessions to children and young adults in a group-based setting, focusing on all aspects of age-appropriate life skills. Sessions incorporate skill-building and training with hands-on work with our horses. Animal Assisted Life Skills (AALS) Our Animal Assisted Life Skills Program is fitted for children under 18, led by our Equine Specialist McKinley. By moving from a traditional office setting to the outdoors, horses and small animals can become a powerful tool in the healing and growth process. Working with an equine partner allows a client to gain valuable insight into their own behavior patterns, choices, relationships, and emotions. It is through this experiential approach that clients are empowered to develop their own solutions on their terms. Corporate and Team Building with Horses! TRAK offers equine-assisted learning and animal assisted life skills sessions that are uniquely fit for any group looking for an exceptional team building experience! We offer courses for corporations, small- businesses, church groups, and many more. These ground-based sessions can quickly show us how people think and respond in everyday situations. In each session, participants are challenged to work through real-life problems and situations as a team. All participants have the opportunity to develop confidence, leadership skills, team dynamics and provide insight into non-verbal communication. How can a horse make all the difference? Working with a horse is like looking in a mirror. It will highlight individual strengths and weaknesses, help them determine what works and what does not, and develop and apply new skills that will translate to every-day situations. If you are interested in bringing your group to participate in equine assisted learning or animal assisted life skills Team Building or Corporate session, please fill out the form below. [read more]
View ProfileConveniently located in South Phoenix, right on the border of the beautiful South Mountain Park, Robinson Ranch is the only minority owned and operated Equine Assisted Learning and Horse Therapy Center of its kind. Robinson Ranch 501(c)3 non-profit organization Robinson Ranch first opened its’ doors to students with special needs in 2000. Life-long horseman, John Robinson had a vision to work with Equine and special needs individuals and the journey began. Classes ran almost exclusively through DDD Services (Division of Developmental Disabilities) and consisted of mostly children and adults with mental/emotional challenges for the first several years. The word of John’s work began to grow exponentially; calls were streaming in from across the State with people asking if there were openings in the program or if they could assist in any way. In September 2008 John, Jerry Riggs and Fred Colbert had an idea to expand the program and service offerings. From this “meeting of the minds” the program grew to what it is today. We currently serve an average of 75 to 150 students a week. More than 60 volunteers help our dedicated staff keep the programs running on a day to day basis.
